The Big Sleep
I like Film Noir quite a lot. There's always a good guy, a bad guy, a detective and a morally ambigous female lead. And sometimes it's not clear if maybe the detective is the good guy or the bad guy. What's not to love about that?
That's why well written Kate fic almost always rocks my socks.
Tania has some excellent advice on Writing Kate/Angel fic.
If you wanted to write some Kate fic (it doesn't have to be Kate/Angel if that's not your thing) for posting on Season2Ep14 then that would be super nice. Or you know anyone that writes good Kate, you could invite them to sign-up(find the Invite A Writer button on your My Account page).

Again in The Prodigal, she comes to him in an official capacity, just as he has killed a demon. When Angel recognizes Kate's father as being at the scene of the fight, Angel asks if he's okay.
"No. You don't get to do that."
"What?"
"Kill a demon in front of me and then act like we're going to have a cappuccino together, it doesn't work that way."
"How does it work?"
"I'm not convinced it does. Look, no offense, I think you're probably a pretty decent guy for what you are, but let's keep this strictly business all right, we don't get personal, I'm not your girlfriend."
